Sarajevo, July 21, 2025 – With the first water and tea trucks, Bosnian-Herzegovinian Ella, a brand of the Sarajevo dairy Milkos, is opening the markets of North Macedonia and Montenegro these days.
Thus, Ella teas “Peach” and “Forest Fruit” 1.5l, 0.5l and 0.33l have set off for North Macedonia. Initially, these products will be available in Reptil and Elida markets in this country. It should be emphasized that the first quantities of Ella water have recently entered the Montenegrin market, and that Ella iced teas have been present in the markets there for a long time, with very good representation.
“We have practically just started opening new markets for our water and iced teas. Ella really has something to offer and these are our first steps in export. The first customer reactions are extraordinary, so we expect further expansion of the range and new orders,” said Selma Jusufović, Marketing Director of Sarajevska mljekara Milkos d.o.o. .
On the domestic market, Ella has recorded strong expansion this year with a sales increase of over 50 percent compared to the same period last year, and is currently the third-largest seller of domestic waters in some segments.
Ella springs from the “Vilenac” spring, which is located at the foot of Mount Igman, known for its underground lakes with high-quality water. The water is pumped from a depth of 250 meters. Its mineral value classifies it as a water of top quality.
The geological and hydrological profile of the rock masses has shaped water with exceptional bacteriological and chemical properties. The water from the “Vilenac” spring is used to fill Ella’s natural spring water. In addition, it is also used for the production of Ella iced teas, Sinalco refreshing soft drinks and Bona fruit juices. Ella water is filled in glass packaging 0.25l and 0.75l, and in PET packaging 0.33l. 0.5 l. 1.5l and 2l. The Ella product in a 2l PET bottle with 0.5l free is particularly interesting. Ella water is characterized by a balanced mineral composition and reduced sodium content.
